On Monday, April 18, 2011, Virginia Smith Denton (Dukes), 53, began enjoying her eternal reward.
Virginia was born on August 2, 1957, in Germany, and worked for the State of Georgia as a Corrections Officer. She graduated from International City Beauty College. She enjoyed scrapbooking, flowers, and especially loved to collect cows. Northside Baptist Church was her church home. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert William Smith, Jr., and husband, Woodrow Wilson Dukes, Jr.
Her memory will forever live on through her mother, Sandra Smith; daughter, A-Jay Dukes, both of Warner Robins; brothers, Bill Smith (Malou), Warner Robins, Rodney Smith, Perry, and David Foss, Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; sisters, Debbie Brinson, Stilson, and Sarah Linderman, Warner Robins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Myke Harbuck officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Heart of Georgia In-patient Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry GA 31069.
