W. Carlton Campbell, 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
Mr. Campbell was born on December 8, 1927 in Faceville, Georgia. He was a member of the Baptist faith and attended the University of Georgia. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Navy as a Fireman First Class, during World War II. Subsequent to his military service, he was a Purchasing Agent for Keebler Foods Company. A faithful servant of God, Mr. Campbell was an ordained Baptist Minister and served as Lay Minister for many children's programs. His parents, William Maxwell and Mattie Howell Campbell, and son, William Carlton Campbell, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Laree Barfield Campbell, Byron; children, Jayne Harmon (Jeff), Lawrenceville; Dr. Robert C. Campbell (Martha), Hawkinsville; Paula Kinsaul (Mike), Warner Robins; sisters, Lois Binns, Albany; Maxine Hadden, Loganville; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 31, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the Church Home for the Aged, 2470 Highway 41 North, Fort Valley, Georgia 31030.
