Warner Robins – Walter Houston Kyzer, 84, entered into rest on Sunday, January 23, 2011.
Mr. Kyzer was born on December 5, 1926 in Hardee, Mississippi. Walter proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict prior to going to work for civil service from 1942-1966 at Brookley AFB, in Mobile, Alabama. He later moved to Robins Air Force Base where he was employed as Chief of Evaluation until retirement. Walter was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church of Mobile, Alabama before becoming a dedicated member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church. His parents, Samuel Hicks Kyzer and Willie Mae Martin Kyzer, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his faithful and loving wife of fifty-eight years, Martha Chappell Kyzer, children, Ruth A. Kyzer, Warner Robins; Samuel A. (Jenny) Kyzer, Mooresville, Alabama; Joyce K. (John) Brasch, Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Jason O. Kyzer, Joseph A. Kyzer, Katherine E. Kyzer, great-grandson Lee Daniel Kyzer and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Andy Cook and Reverend Napp Granade officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Shirley Hills Baptist Church, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
