Walter Leon Huckeba, Jr.

Walter Leon Huckeba, Jr., 85, held hands again with his beloved wife, Rosita Foote Huckeba in heaven on Friday, April 6, 2018.

A native of Sandersville, Georgia, Walter was born on May 20, 1932 to the late Walter Leon Huckeba, Sr. and Lucile Walker-Huckeba. After serving his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he continued his career working as a manufacturing engineer in the computer industry for Univac/Sperry Rand, RCA, Telex. Modular Computers. and Howard Power Products.

Walter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosita Foote Huckeba; and son, Michael O’Neal. He is survived by five daughters, Jeannette Huckeba Butler (Wayne) and Robin Huckeba Taylor (Donnie), both of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Marcia O’Neal Ozkan (Ersin) of Warner Robins, Cecilia O’Neal Hemme (Fred) of Millington, Tennessee, and Sharon O’Neal of Austin, Texas; sons, Mark Andrew Huckeba (Michelle) of Navarre Beach, Florida and Daniel Patrick O’Neal (Stephani) of Macon; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Christopher’s at the Crossroads Episcopal Church, 1207 Macon Rd., Perry, GA 31069.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Huckeba to St. Christopher’s at the Crossroads Episcopal Church, 1207 Macon Rd., Perry, GA 31069.
