Wanda G. Childers

Wanda Giddens Childers, 67, entered into rest on the evening of Wednesday, March 11, 2015.

Wanda was born on May 24, 1947, in Eastman, Georgia to the late Benjamin Lester and Christine Coleman Giddens. She retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base and was of the Baptist faith. While Wanda enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers, her greatest passion in life was her children and grandchildren.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Heather Purvis (Brooks) of Centerville and Steven Childers (Shannon) of Gibbons, Alberta, Canada; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Central Point Chapel in Byron. Burial will be private.
