Wanda Louise Canfield

Wanda Louise Canfield, 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2015.

On December 5, 1927, Wanda was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and was in the Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. Wanda was honored on the Cadet Nurse Memorial Wall in Washington DC. She retired from the New York school system as a school nurse. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was of the Lutheran faith. Wanda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Her beloved husband, Carl Francis Canfield, Sr; his son, Carl F. Canfield, Jr.; his grandson, Carl F. Canfield III; and his parents, Oliver Newton Hilt II and Anna Olive Colley Hilt, preceded her in death.

Wanda's memory will forever be treasured by her loving sons, Stephen Craig and Mark Alan Canfield, both of Kathleen; grandchildren, Kelly Marie, Stephen Craig, Rachael Ann, Mary Margaret and Christopher Canfield.
