Warren Curtis Pope, 65, entered into rest on Monday, June 15, 2009.

Warren was born on January 10, 1944, in Surrency. He served his country in the United States Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a Quality Control Manager at American Yard Products before owning and operating the Highway 19 Sporting Good Store in Lumber City. His parents, James Wardell Pope and Minnie Bell McGauley Pope, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Chris Pope, of Gray, Candice Pope, of Macon, Anthony Pope, of Athens, and Amanda Pope Sanders, of Macon; six grandchildren and three sisters.
