Wayne (Headveggie) Willeby

Wayne Willeby, 57, passed away on October 22, 2005 at the Houston Medical Center after an eighteen year battle with ALS. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Southside Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Donations may be made to MDA and/or ALS of Georgia, 1955 Cliff Valley Way, Ste. 116, GA, 30329 in memory of Wayne.

Mr. Willeby was born on February 26, 1948 in Griffin, Georgia. He was an honorary member of the Warner Robins Fire Department, and for the past six years, he worked in advertising for RJ Cooper and Associates of California. Mr. Willeby was employed by the City of Warner Robins, where he worked as Foreman with the Utilities Department for twenty years. A member of the Navy for four years, Mr. Willeby was in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. His father, Henry L. Willeby, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Willeby, Warner Robins; mother, Barbara W. Willeby; sons, Michael and wife, Yvonne, Willeby, Warner Robins; Greg and wife, Carol, Willeby, Warner Robins; brother, Ronnie Willeby, Warner Robins; sister, Lynne Hedden, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Devin, Tristen, Apryl, Brooke, Kayla, all of Warner Robins; Michael and Blake, Florida; great-grandchild, Hayden, Warner Robins; and numerous nieces ad nephews.
