Wendell Lamar Dennis, Jr., 63, entered into rest on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Wendell was born on July 15, 1961, in in Warner Robins, Georgia and attended Northside High School. He was best described as a very loving man with a big heart; he loved to help others and keep his loved ones safe. He was a great dad with a wonderful sense of humor, often known to be a jokester. In his free time, he was an artist and an extremely talented poet. He will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him, along with his dog, “Kush” who was both his companion and his baby.
His father, Wendell Lamar Dennis, Sr., preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Deanna Elsasser Dennis; children, Gabriella Dennis of Warner Robins, Destiny Evans of Eastman, and Brittany Evans of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jesse Mathis and Elizabeth Mathis, both of Warner Robins; mother, Sandra Dennis; sister, Veronica Sanchez (Greg) of Omaha, Nebraska; along with several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Wendell Dennis, Jr. to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
