On the afternoon of Monday, December 3, 2018, Wendell Cole, Jr., 45, unexpectedly passed away.
Born in Warner Robins, Georgia on July 3, 1973, Wendell attended Northside High School and was a former sheet metal technician in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a devoted father to his daughter and son and loved nothing more than spending time with them. Wendell also enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, racing go-karts and dirt tracks, and time spent with the family he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Jacob Hutcheson; paternal grandparents, John and Hilda Cole; and maternal grandparents, Emmett and Dorothy Mills.
Wendell’s memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Kaitlyn Cole of Perry and Austin Cole of Warner Robins; mother, Kay Cole of Warner Robins; father, Wendell Cole, Sr. (Diana) of Macon; sisters, Wendy Kay Corbett (Jeff) of Macon and Heather Clegg (Bill) of Baxley; nieces and nephew, SaraKay Corbett, and Noah and Anna Caite Clegg; his devoted dog, “Sampson;” and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Holcomb officiating. Afterwards, Wendell will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
