Deane Ellis, 87, entered into rest on Monday, November 5, 2012.
Mrs. Ellis was born on December 24, 1924 in Van Lear, Kentucky to the late Millard and Mintie Butcher Hobson. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church and the Glenn Norris Sunday school class. Deane was a wonderful homemaker, very involved in the community as a volunteer at the Museum of Aviation as well as a volunteer poll worker. During World War II, Deane worked for the United States Pentagon. She will be fondly remembered as a woman of GREAT FAITH in HOLY GOD through a right relationship with JESUS CHRIST. She daily manifested these CHRISTLIKE character traits by being a lady of grace that was sweet spirited, loving, kind, and giving, thus leaving her family an ETERNAL LEGACY of HOPE. The members of this family would be honored to share with you this HOPE and that HOPE is found in CHRIST ALONE. In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Perry M. Ellis; one brother, and two sisters, all preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Dave Ellis (Norma), Bonaire; Robert Ellis, Macon; Bill Ellis (Denise), Atlanta; Deanna Frahm (Galen), Cheyenne, Wyoming; sister, Shirley Fraley, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jennifer Slife, David, Eric, Caroline and Stephan; several great grandchildren; and niece, Linda Stancowicz.
