Kathleen – William Adam "Bill" Bowers, 78, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Mr. Bowers was born on November 29, 1931 in Martinsburg, West Virginia. With pride and honor he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired Engineer from West Tool and Engineering. Bill's favorite past time after retirement was being an avid golfer and spending time with his family. His parents, Earl Bowers and Amelia Bowers; son, William E. Bowers; brother, Earl Bowers, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Betty Bowers; children, Brian Bowers (Bernice), Kailua, Hawaii; Blaine Bowers (Barbara), Lindenhurst, Illinois; Bonny Bowers Bourque (Brod), Warner Robins, GA.; Beth Bowers Shepley (Timothy), Sycamore, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Bowers, Madison, Alabama; twelve grandchildren, Brian Bowers and Jennifer Crabb, William and Robert Bowers, Brittany and Bryce Bowers, Elizabeth, Emily and Joseph Bourque, Andrew, Abigail and Margaret Shepley.
Graveside Services will be held with military honors at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Andersonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Heart of Georgia Inpatient Hospice, 1120 Morningside, Perry, Georgia 31069.
