William Bernard Robertson

William Bernard Robertson, 86, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Serenity Gate Hospice in Perry, Georgia after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Higgins Funeral Home, 213 Market Street, Fayetteville, Tennessee 37334.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Blanche Cemetery, Fayetteville, Tennessee. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.

Mr. Robertson grew up in Taft, Tennessee, the son of Claude and Lomie Robertson. He retired from Allied Chemical Corporation, Moundsville, West Virginia, after 34 years of service. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, having served more than 4 years with 248th Field Artillery in the European Theater. He was a member of the American Legion in Moundsville, West Virginia. He was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church, Moundsville, West Virginia, for 41 years, having served as a Trustee for a number of those years.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Beatrice Cooper Robertson, Warner Robins, Georgia; two sons, Joel Robertson (Tami), Bonaire, Georgia; and Jeffrey Robertson (Angela), Lake Wylie, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Derrick, Patrick and Jennifer, Bonaire, Georgia; Georgia, Christie and Tiffany, Lake Wylie, South Carolina; brother, Jack (Fana) Robertson, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and two sisters, Ann (Ed) Clymer and Faye Foley, both of Nashville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.
