Bill Collins, 50, of 114 Heather Glen Blvd. died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, October 7, 2011, while trusting and believing in God and in Jesus Christ His Son.
Born in Sanford, Florida, he was the son of the late LCDR William Burton Collins, Jr., USNR, and Elizabeth Mathews Collins. He graduated from Darlington School in Rome, Georgia and from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Collins; children, Andrew Collins and Ana Margarita Collins; mother, Beth Collins, Fort Valley; brother, Jay Collins (Roya), Marietta; cousins, Johnny Humble, Mary Hart Humble, Joshua (Kathleen) Mathews, Jerome' Mathews, Amber Mathews; niece and nephews, Cameron, Nikki, and Kian Collins, and Jayden Fordham; mother in law, Sharon Darsey, and sister in law, Beth Fordam (Jay).
The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 8, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Fort Valley Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Suite A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
