William 'Bill' Herman Thompkins

William "Bill" Herman Thompkins, 69, entered into rest on August 27, 2011.

Bill was born on January 2, 1942 in Jeff Davis County, Georgia. He served his country in the United States Air Force, and was retired Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Bill was very generous always giving to charities, especially anything to benefit children. His wife, Frances Thompkins; and parents, Preston and Margaret Thompkins, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his son, David Thompkins, Warner Robins; grandson, Dakota Thompkins; and brothers Rick and John Thompkins, Hazlehurst, Georgia.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Satilla Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazelhurst. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to be given to the donor's favorite charity.
