William "Bill" M. Gervais

William “Bill” M. Gervais, age 77, of Kathleen, GA, passed away on Monday, October 17th, 2022, in Piedmont Macon Medical Center after a courageous battle with complex medical issues. Born February 7th, 1945, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Will and Esther Gervais.


Bill was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School in 1963, where he met many of his closest and dearest lifelong friends. After trying a few different career hats on, he found his calling in The Ohio Air National Guard. He was an active-duty member of the 180th Air National Guard until his retirement in 2003. After retiring, Bill left Ohio to reside near family and friends in Florida, Texas and most recently Georgia. Bill was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing tennis, working out, tanning poolside, and watching the Buckeyes & Cowboys play football.


Bill is survived by his son, James “Jim” Gervais and his grandson, James “Jag” Gervais. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Esther Gervais; and his brother, Richard “Dick” Gervais.


At Bill’s request, there will be no formal, in person funeral or memorial service. The family has set up an online memorial to honor his memory by sharing your thoughts, remembrances and well wishes.
