Mr. William Henry “Billy” Tucker, 77, passed away November 8, 2024. He was born June 19, 1947, in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
A graveside service, will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, Georgia on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Shannon Stafford Amos officiating.
He is predeceased by his parents, Eleanor Smith Tucker and Claxton Waldo Tucker, and his sister, Paula Tucker Daniel. He was a retired corrections officer from Reidsville State Prison.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Villa Rose, 430 Moseley Road, Byron, Georgia, in memory of Billy Tucker for their resident recreation and party fund for bingo, pizza, and special activities for residents. Billy resided at Villa Rose in his later years, and was affectionately known as the greeter and welcome host for everyone who entered the facility.
Billy was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and never met a stranger.
He is survived by two nephews, many cousins and friends.
