William Joseph Walker

William Joseph Smith, 66, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Perry Hospital. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, One Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, GA 30329.

Born in Eudora, Arkansas, Mr. Smith was a boat operator at Whitewater Marina in Mississippi before his retirement. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his father, R. Lee Smith, and daughter, Dorothy Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Anastasia B. Smith, Warner Robins; ten children: Barbara Diane Funderburg, Byron; William David Smith, Bentonville, AR; Martha Truelang, Lake City, FL; James Donald Smith, Bentonville, AR; Deborah D. Guthrie, Alma, AR; Robert Douglas Smith, Alma, AR; Yolanda Bell, Louisiana; Ricky A. Smith, Bentonville, AR; Marcellus Brown, Warner Robins; and Dovey C. Garrett, Warner Robins; mother, Sara Odessa Smith, Eudora, AR; 2 stepsons; 2 brothers; 6 sisters; 21 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
