William Patrick Gruber

July 30, 1959 — September 27, 2014

William Patrick Gruber, 55, entered into rest on Saturday, September 27, 2014 after a long, heroic battle with cancer.

Pat was born on July 30, 1959 in Fort Valley, Georgia. He attended Nothside High School and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army and was self-employed as a Floor Covering and Remodeling Specialist. Being with family was Pat's passion and joy. Growing up he loved sports, the outdoors, spending time fishing and camping with his large family. He also instilled that love in his sons.

His parents, William Elgie "Bill" Gruber and Bernice Ann Coggins Gruber, preceded him in death.

Pat is survived by two loving sons, Patrick "Daniel" Gruber of Covington, Georgia and Christopher "Reece" Gruber of Warner Robins, Georgia. Other survivors include: his brothers, Jerry Gruber, Terry Gruber (Sherry), Matthew Gruber (Amanda), all of Warner Robins, Georgia; sisters, Sherry Campbell (Michael) and Laurie Moore (Steve) of Warner Robins, Georgia; Donna Day and Ronda Turner (Marty) of Kennesaw, Georgia; Beth Jennings (Larry) of Nichols, South Carolina; and Billie Peacock (Joe) of Bonaire; eleven nieces; twelve nephews; eight great-nieces and six great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews Jared Peacock, Justin Peacock, Andy Woodrum, Wesley Woodrum, Turner Gruber and Camron Gruber.

The family of Pat Gruber would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit in Dublin, Georgia for the wonderful care he received and for supporting us through the laughter and tears. Your Kindness will never be forgotten.
