Ralph "Sparky" Sparks, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Houston Healthcare.
Ralph was born in Tazewell County, Virginia and was a longtime resident of Dodge County, Georgia. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army, and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and Greene Gas Company which later became Ferrell Gas Company. Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman; and relayed this enjoyment to many young fellows at First Assembly of God in Warner Robins and Cochran through the Royal Rangers Program.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Avery Sparks and Ada Victoria Pruett Sparks; daughter, Victoria Faith Sparks; and sister, Mildred Ann Sparks White.
Ralph's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia Johnson Sparks; sister, Joyce Salyers (Bobby) of Cedar Bluff, Virginia and Jean West (Johnny) of Union Grove, Alabama; brother-in-law, Franklin Johnson (Carol), Dahlonega, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
