William Ronald Barlow, 65, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, in Central Baptist Church with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society %Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge Chapter 1552 Shoup Court, Decatur, Georgia 30033.
Mr. Barlow was born on September 24, 1941 in Statesboro, Georgia. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church where he was a Children’s Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Volunteer, and served on the Benevolence Committee. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Ron was also a member of South Carolina Air National Guard. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and received his masters from Georgia College. Ron was retired from Robins Air Force Base civil service where he worked as an Engineer. He also worked for NASA. A man of many accomplishments his passion was his loving family. His son, Ronald Troy Barlow and his parents, William Charles Barlow and Bertha Belle Gay Barlow, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Barlow, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Joey Boone, all of Warner Robins; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Donald and Jean Barlow; Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Eric Barlow, Chad Boone, Kaitlyn Barlow, Susan Sawyers and one great granddaughter, Breona Sawyers.
