Born on February 7, 1955, Mr. Colquitt was a native of Meansville, Georgia. After serving his country in the United States Army and living a very fulfilling life, Mr. Colquitt passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021.
His amazing memory will forever be cherished by his beautiful wife, Barbara Colquitt; four daughters; three sisters; one brother; seventeen grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; his very devoted friend and brother-in-law, Homer Johnson, Jr.; and three additional devoted friends, Eric, Doug and Mrs. Lucas, who always came to check on him even in his final days.
Known as “Fred,” the guy who could take care of your yard like it was his own, he served as a faithful servant of Macedonia Baptist Church, in Macon, Georgia, under the leadership of Pastor Eddie D. Smith, Sr. He was also known by many of his neighbors as a sweet, kind, and quiet man with an amazing smile and a contagious laugh. Fred loved his family and made sure he spoke with them daily, especially his daughters, sisters, and brother back home in Meansville, Georgia. He was very fond of sharing his birthday with his next to oldest grandson, Antonio McKinney. He also loved football, fishing, and sitting outside with friends and family.
