Wilma Jolene Hayes Smith

Wilma Jolene Hayes Smith, 83, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, November 4, 2022.

Jolene was born on November 17, 1938, in Dalton, Georgia to the late Raymond and Opal Geren Hayes. She dedicated many years to Robins Air Force Base where she worked until her retirement. Jolene could often be found tending to her garden and canning many of the items she grew. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Epple and sister, Pat Hayes.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband Gene Smith; children, Greg Epple (Audrey), Donna Ereddia (Joe), both of Byron and Janet Faglie (Hank) of Liberty Township, Ohio; and grandchildren, Zoe Edingfield, Spencer Ereddia (Tina), Pierce Ereddia, Trey Faglie and Adam Faglie and host of extended family and friends.

Visitation with Jolene’s family will be Monday, November 7, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Melton officiating. Following the service, Jolene will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
