Winnie J. Howard, 89, passed away at the home of her niece, Nancy Scheidemantel (Skip) in Morris, Alabama on December 8, 2013. Miss Howard had been in a state of rapidly declining health over the last year.
Miss Howard was very proud of being born and raised in Warner Robins and being one of the few remaining original Wellstonians. She was also very proud of having taught cosmetology for thirty-six years at Dudley Hughest Technical School in Macon, Georgia. Miss Howard was a devoted member of Sacred Heath Catholic Church.
She is survived by one nephew and six nieces, Cary Treadwell of Sandersville, Georgia, Nelda Howell of Dillard, Georgia, Cheryl West and Linda Totty, both of Warner Robins, Georgia; Ann Price of Statesboro, Georgia, Nancy Kay Scheidemantel and Lou Ann Williamson, both of Morris, Alabama; and sister-in-law, Louise Stubbs.
Miss Howard was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Cliff Watson Howard; and siblings, Louise Treadwell, James Stubbs, Carolyn Priest and Croff Howard.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
