Winona Meeks Pritchard

On the morning of Saturday, April 22, 2017, Winona Pritchard, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Winona was born on November 4, 1944 to the late Stanton and Willie Dee Meeks. Following high school, she continued her education at Georgia Southern and earned her Master's Degree from Georgia College. Winona retired after 39 years of teaching, over 30 of those years were at Centerville Elementary School. She was a loving wife and mother who always made her family her highest priority; this included her beloved cats. Winona was also a very active member of Friendship Baptist Church where she devoted herself to the card ministry.

Her husband of 47 years, William "Bill" Pritchard, preceded her in death this year.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Jennifer Pritchard of Centerville; brother, Stan Meeks (Donna) of Waycross; sister, Susan Meeks Paulk (Terrence) of Fitzgerald; and brother-in-law, Andy Pritchard (Sharon) of Ocala, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Friendship Baptist Church in Warner Robins. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Following the service, Mrs. Pritchard will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Pritchard to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
