Yarisma Josefina Ruiz

Yarisma Josefina Ruiz, 48, passed away at her residence on the afternoon of Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Born in San Fernando, Venezuela, Yarisma was the daughter of Elba Julieta Ruiz. After earning her Ph.D., Yarisma worked as a school teacher and administrator for over 20 years. After retiring she moved the United States and went to work as a processor at Perdue. Yarisma will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to Yarisma’s mother, her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Arvis Oswaldo Salas Garcia; children, Yarisbet Elblimar Montoya-Ruiz, Maria de Los Angeles Ruiz Mirbal, Gabriel Andres Salas Ruiz; daughter-in-law, Amarachi Onyekachi; grandchildren, Amber Juliette Bradford-Montoya, Maria Victoria Ruiz, Ray Jeremiah Ruiz, and Adrian Joseph Salas Hayes; siblings, Carmen Yelitza Ruiz, Carlos Javier Ruiz, Ricardo Ruiz, and Jhonny Ruiz; and loving pet, “Amigo.”

Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at A New Beginning Church – Iglesia Un Nuevio Comienzo.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.
