In the early morning hours of Friday, November 17, 2017, Yvonne D. Outlaw, 91, joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven.
Mrs. Outlaw was born on January 4, 1926 in Swainsboro, Georgia to the late Lee and Flossie Durden. She worked for Naval Ordnance as a Quality Inspector for a number of years before retiring from Maxson Electronics. Mrs. Outlaw’s only real hobby was fishing, but her greatest joy in life came from being a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her adoring family. She was known for being a wonderful cook, and she was a talented seamstress as well. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Americus. Mrs. Outlaw was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 years, George Outlaw; six sisters; two brothers; and son-in-law, Reverend Jerry L. Shedd.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Eloyce Shedd of Kathleen; grandchildren, Nicole Shah (Abidan) of Henderson, North Carolina, Jared Shedd (Rachel) of Cumming, Georgia, Andrew Shedd of Warner Robins, Georgia, Melissa Hamilton (Kyle) of Blackstone, Virginia, and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Norristown, Georgia where Mrs. Outlaw will be laid to rest next to her husband.
